Maybe you have some free time on your hands and would like to make your own cell phone charging station. I googled around the web and found several Do It Yourself charging stations. Some are made of boxes, some recycled plastic bottles and one very clever box design even had a switch on the lid of the box. The switch is much like the one in your fridge, it only turns on when the lid is open, therefore when you are done charging your phone and close the box, the power goes off.
